Would you do God's will?

Matthew 26:39, 42b, 44
And going a little father he fell on his face and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will"
"Again, for the second time, he went aways and prayed,'My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done'"
"So, leaving them again, he went awy and prayed for the third time, saying the same words again"

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, the he gave his only Son, ht whoeve believed in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Doing God's will can be difficult, but we have a perfect role model to follow. Jesus fully understood what had to be, and did not *want* to do it, but was *willing* to out of love and obedience to God the Father.

Just for Brina

My group at work had a team building event. We Bar-B-Qued, and played volleyball. I took a photo of my ugly but unbroken toes. But Brina likes feet, so sharing with her!

Blurrrrrrrr

time is such a blur lately. too much to do, in not enough time. and it is so out of control, i do not even know where to start to get control of it again. like when your room is such a mess, you don't even know what to pick up first. i am taking friday off, but even then, i have a long list of places to be, people to see, things to do. one of the things is empty bowls. it is a fund raiser for the tarrant area food bank, and you get to pick out a bowl created by a local artist. it's also the annual PTA dance at school, and it is Caty's last one at this school. i will be helping to decorate and stuff. it will be fun.

(Sigh of contentment)

I feasted upon God’s word tonight, and feel the warm glow of His radiance still. This was the sort of meal you run your finger along the edge of your plate to get the morsel you missed, if you are in polite company, or, if not, you just pick up the plate and lick every nook and cranny clean. I am alone right now, and without anyone to recount the experience with, I am left to my blog. I love my pastor. I love that I never feel jipped when I leave from his teaching. I love that he puts God’s word out there in big fat chunks of steak, and leaves it to the Holy Spirit to run it through the Happy Baby Food Processor for those who need it. I love that I could hear the crunch of the serpent’s skull in hearts all around me tonight, and then saw the sobs evidencing the encroached battlements. I love how God has wired my Pastor so that he can take a message like the Gospel, the Good News that I have heard a thousand times, using scriptures I have read twice again as many times, and open my eyes to something new, and lovely, and breathtaking there. I love that the membership class with a waiting list of hundreds, honored my husband with an empty seat beside me tonight, even though they knew beforehand he could not be there. It humbled me, and made me contemplate “When was the last time I showed him so much honor?” I love that God is beyond anything that I can imagine, and that He still makes himself known to me; spending a great deal of time and patience preparing my mind and heart for the little flashes of revelation he plans. I love that God makes that a sweet thing to me; more precious even than love notes from my children.

A divine moment of joy
A breath of fresh mountain air
A sunset in majestic purple and blue
None of these compare
To the smallest glimpse of your Glory
The briefest brush with your cloak
The Love that fills me beyond full -
I am sated in Your Hope.

Suck it up Bee

I am almost always behind the camera, therfore have very little proof of my existence, or that I have in fact travelled to all the places my family has. So, Bee and I snapped some shots together. Just the living room. But she is not pleased with the results. Unfortunately, I have to prove my existence. so suck it up Bee :)
Love you!

News

Well, no photos to post as I have forgotten my camera lately. Brandon brought another buddy home from Bliss last weekend. Shawn is from Chicago, and very polite. Neener was home for the weekend, too, so we had the whole family here! I was not feeling well for the first couple of days, but was able to get out and about Sunday. It was a good weekend, and we are planning a trip for Caty to San Fran for Valentine's Day. I will be going for a weekend, too, soon. Fun!
So hugs to everyone! I am getting some sleep! :)

Studies in Cart Minor

Grandma England and Aunt Sabrina voted these two pictures needed to be added. They loved the ones of everyone below. Seriously tired, my thoughts are slurring, so this is it for tonite! Sleep Tight!

More family fun....

I chased everyone around the field as they took turns driving the cart, hanging off the sides, and chilaxing in the back.

Gnome's Treeman

Another materpiece from Lobo. Brandon had this put on his calf, which is acutally pretty large, but looks like an arm in this photo. Leave it to me... haha!

Bye Bye 37 --- hello 38...

I will compare the wrinkles next year... or as Sabs says, note the character I have developed in my face... haha!

As Brandon and Jake head off to their permanant duty stations, we went out to east Texas for a long weekend. It seemed someone was always missing, but I did finally get them all in one place at one time, including the newest member of the family, Daniel.
